Information we collect
Email, nickname, avatar, bio, and other profile fields you provide.
Solve records, team data, Hunt participation, submissions, and review status.
Unless you opt out, we may collect anonymized page views and actions (not answer text, DMs, or full notes) for product improvement and research.
IP address, browser type, and access times for security and troubleshooting.
We use cookies or local storage for sessions, language, and theme preferences. Third-party ads or analytics may also set cookies; see Advertising & third-party cookies.
How we use information
- Provide sign-in, puzzles, submissions, leaderboards, messaging, and Hunt features;
- Keep accounts and the Platform secure and prevent abuse;
- Improve the product when you have not opted out of analytics;
- When ads are enabled, share limited technical data needed for delivery and measurement (typically not your answers or DMs);
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Advertising & third-party cookies
We may use Google AdSense and other third-party ad services. Partners may place or read cookies in your browser and use web beacons or IP addresses to show and measure ads.
Partners may process data under their own policies. We expect compliance with applicable law, but they remain independent controllers of their processing.

What we do not do
- Sell personally identifiable information;
- Share identifiable DMs, answers, or notes with third parties for marketing without legal basis or your consent;
- Use research analytics to identify individual users (data is aggregated and de-identified).
- Provide puzzle answer text or unpublished explanations to ad partners for advertising.
Your choices
After sign-in, open Profile → Settings → Privacy to opt out of research/analytics. You may update account details or contact us to request access or correction. To delete your account, use the channels listed on the About page.
Where law grants access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability rights, contact us via the About page. We will verify identity and respond within a reasonable time unless law provides otherwise.
Storage & security
Data is stored on controlled servers with access controls and HTTPS in transit. No internet transmission is perfectly secure—please protect your email and password.
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, or longer if required by law. After account deletion we delete or anonymize related personal data; backups and logs may retain technical residue briefly.
Minors
If you are below the age of majority where you live, use the Platform only with a guardian’s consent and supervision.
We do not knowingly offer services that collect personal information from children under 13 (or a higher local age). Contact us to delete any such data collected in error.
Policy updates
We may revise this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
